10 year old kids should be playing with their crayons and wii's. These 2 videos a prime examples of why I only play online with friends. Although sometimes it's fun pissing someone like this off and getting a good laugh at the same time.
Some of that extra cost may be due to paying for hosting and download bandwidth on sony's free network. Microsoft is already being subsidized by income from xbox live's pay service. Just a thought.
Microsoft could instead give away 1.5 million copies of vista @ $200 each for the same money. I think that would go a lot further to generate positive results than to spending $300M on commercials with Sienfeld. Or give a 50% discount to the first 3 million people who buy a copy. I may give it a try if it wasn't so damn expensive.
This game makes me think a a bunch of Wii's got mixed up with Viva Pinata and somehow ended up on a PS3?? My 8 year old daughter would probably enjoy this game more than I would. I'm not into cute games and I think the gamedaily author may be assuming that this game will appeal to kids and hence you will end up with a few great custom levels and a TON of crap.

The japanese as a whole are so much more patriotic than people here in the usa. If americans had half the incentive to buy american products you'd see our charts showing MS winning by a huge margin. But alas, most americans are complete idiots and will buy anything. Check out some infomercials for crap being sold on late night tv. It's nice that I have the freedom of speech to express my opinion however.
Is if they start making you watch adds during loading screens, in between matches during online play, or even integrate them into the XMB. Would that change some of your opinions? They have to pay for all that server bandwidth to keep the PSN free somehow.

I want to play games not decorate a digital dollhouse. Home is completely a waste of time. Funny they are showing off the summerhouse as it will be deep into the winter before anybody can play with their dolls.

I still wish sony would have chosen something better than "trophies". I think of a bowling league, softball team, watermelon eating contest, etc. and the stupid, gawdy fake gold reward given to the winners. I know achievement was already taken but come on sony, you could have come up with something cooler than trophy. It just seems so cheap. Oh well it's better than nothing.

The same could be said about PS2. 120 million worldwide sales. 40 million working consoles?? I went through 3 of them before I gave up on ps2 and am still holding off on ps3 until I feel comfortable the blueray drives are not going to die like the dvd drives in the ps2 did. I'm guessing you are a sony fan?? So you probably own/owned a ps2?? So why was it perfectly acceptable for multidisk games to grace the ps2, but now it's an achilles heel for a 360 game to have more than 1 disk? If the ps3 does indeed have a 10 year life span as sony would lead us to believe, what will you think of the ps3 in 8 years when they need 2 or 3 50 Gig blue ray disks to fit a game??
I have played both systems and have yet to see any game that cannot be done just as well on either one. I'm not trying to start yet another 360 vs. PS3 hardware flame, but they are in reality both about equal. If home was released for the wii it would have been a smashing success. Considering the ps3's price and other factors most ps3 owners are older and much more mature gamers. Mature adults prefer adult type games and entertainment not playing dress-up and buying furniture to decorate a virtual dollhouse.
